Disturbance Call Lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On 3-30-2015, Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Elizabeth Lane, Alford in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Aurora Deotona Cutchins. While attempting to make contact with the other party involved in the disturbance, Deputies observed several pieces of Drug Paraphernalia and items consistent with the Attempted Manufacture of Methamphetamine, consisting of used hypodermic needles, butane fuel, charcoal lighter fluid, several plastic bottles containing “bi-layer” liquids, coffee filters, disassembled “Instant Cold Packs”, etc. The items were laying in plain view, in Cutchins bedroom. Upon further investigation, a “Shake and Bake” Methamphetamine Lab was located and the residence was evacuated. Investigators from the Jackson County Drug Task Force responded to the scene and dismantled the clandestine Methamphetamine Lab. As a result of the investigation, Aurora Deotona Cutchins was placed under Arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await First Appearance.
