Disturbance Call Lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On May 15, 2016, Officers with the Chipley Police Department responded to the scene of a physical disturbance located on 1st Street in Chipley.

During the course of the investigation Officers arrested Catherine Moody, 25 of Chipley, for a misdemeanor battery and subsequently discovered that she was in possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia consisting of marijuana smoking devices and syringes which were used for injecting methamphetamine.

Moody was charged with: Battery (Misdemeanor) Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony) Possession of Drug Equipment (Misdemeanor) Chief Kevin Crews states, “The use of methamphetamine and other illegal narcotics has devastating effect on our communities and causes the commission of many other crimes.
