Some people are receiving text messages to call telephone numbers that your debit card has been cancelled and you need to call a specific phone number. When they have you on the phone they are asking for personal information.

Your bank, credit institution or credit union WILL NOT, understand, they WILL NOT ask you for your personal information on the telephone. Again, please understand...your credit institution WILL NOT ask you for your personal information.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION on the telephone. It is a fraud text message.

Should you have any questions call the number you know, call the number listed in the phone book for your financial institution and discuss the matter with them. If personal information is required your financial institution will have you phsically come into the bank, credit union, or whatever financial institution you use.

This message is endorsed by Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes and Dothan Police Chief Greg Benton.
