DOTHAN: You know it is extremely funny where government put's their efforts and resources.
Moments ago a person went to the Dothan Magistrate Office. He parked in a parking space reserved for a government worker who is paid to attend the building. Not only is the public suppose to provide everything in the world, lord forbid a government worker having to walk.
There are very few public parking places available at the Dothan Magistrate Office at the corner of North Oates and Adams Street. And at the time the Dothan Police Officer was issuing the parking ticket, three of the public places were taken by City of Dothan cars or employees that work there.
Anyway, the man was called from inside the Magistrate Office to his vehicle. He was instructed he was parked in a space "Reserved For Magistrate" and was parked across the center line. He had backed his vehicle into the parking pace.
Hey, I have a idea. Just because you work for the government, pretend you are normal. And find your own place to park, down the street, and leave the "prime" parking places for those persons who have to do business with the entity there.
Also if the officer's were not on the Mike West downtown parking assignment, we might could stop some car burglaries.
I do not fault Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish with this stupid assignment. Because the intelligence level above him, well that is in question.
Do not park in a reserved space for government officials. It would be a grievance if they had to walk.
