DOTHAN: Do you know what your National Peanut Festival President was doing this past Sunday afternoon?
Well, he was working cutting grass and keeping the grounds in shape at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.
The NPF President is Jason Rudd. And several weeks ago the NPF Family and Dothan Community loss Greg Yost who worked for the Nationl Peanut Festival. Greg had come in from fishing and died of a sudden heart attack.
That has left a lot of chores undone at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds. And one of those chores has been keeping the grass cut.
So what does the President do? Roll up his sleeves and goes to work.
How much does being the National Peanut Festival President pay? A lot of sweet, worry, organization, guiding the teams into one direction. The salary, ZERO....Free...
The board apparently doubled it....more work and doubled the pay...double zero!!
THANKS Jason for your hard work in helping to provide a great facility for the Dothan - Houston County community.
