LAS VEGAS NEVADA: On Saturday John Curtis Stokes, Cole Battles, Ricky Beck and myself flew out of Atlanta Georgia to Las Vegas Nevada. The purpose of the trip was a national bail bonding association annual meeting and seminar.
On Monday we heard Dog The Bounty Hunter speak. Now Dog has his TV reputation. That is different than his in person personality.
Dog is plain spoken. His talk was very informative.
Dog said bail enforcement agents are not trained to kill. They are trained to apprehend. It is law enforcement which is trained to use deadly physical force.
Dog said the bail enforcement or bounty hunter’s purpose is to take the person into custody and return them to the custody of the Sheriff.
But Dog further explained that the bail enforcement and law enforcement are partners. Sometimes law enforcement does not view the bail enforcement as a partner. But if not for the bail enforcement and bail bonding system, the court and jails could not hold the defendants.
Bail works better than government operated pre trial release. If government releases a person and they run. Government’s solution is to throw more money in the system. Bail, having a financial interest, will pursue and apprehend the defendant. The cost to government – none.
Dog gave some tips on what to look for in attempting to locate a person. Information is the key to locating people.
A – Advantage Bonding serves Houston, Henry and Dale County. We have been in business since 1998. We have 15 contract employees. We strive to be professional and assist the defendants in their obligations and the court in the management of defendants.
LAS VEGAS
My first trip. I am not a gambler so the gambling attractions is not my cup of tea.
The weather is great. The city is large. And the food is expensive.
A clean city and everyone is friendly. A lot of people in Las Vegas.
