In recent days, residents of Columbia, AL, and counties of Houston, Henry, Dale, Geneva, Barbour and Covington have experienced devastation. Residents living near local rivers have seen everything they own be destroyed by flood waters. These residents are in need of living necessities. The Columbia Police Department and Columbia Fire and Rescue are asking for your generous donations on behalf of residents displaced by flood waters. Please show your generosity by donating non-perishable food items, clothes, furniture and any other living necessities. Donations can be dropped off in Dothan at Solomon Chevrolet and Cadillac and in Columbia at the Police Department. These are very stressful times for the residents these local communities. Your generous giving will allow these displaced victims the necessities of life needed as they move forward in reestablishing their homes on the river. Please show your support to all the families who have lost everything. Anyone with questions regarding donations and other support for these families can call Officer Brandon Barnes at 334-618-1700.
