DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY:  Coffee County was placed under a "tornado warning" earlier which meant a tornado had been sighted. Marty Bowden was in the area of BamaJam and reported trees down and stop sign down and what appeared to be a tornado had passed over.

Several Emergency Management Offices were activated to include Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Office. In a brief conversation with EMA Director Clark Matthews he was responding to the EMA Office in the basement of the Houston County Courthouse to be on  stand by for the weather.

In Henry County, EMA Director Ronnie Dollar was on stand by monitoring the weather from his office.

Each EMA Office being proactive and ready to work to assist agencies and citizens in the event of tornado touchdowns.

BOTH Houston and Henry County were under "WATCHES" only - which means conditions are favorable for tornado activity.
