The median salaries for pharmacists can range widely, anywhere from $36,740 in the Aguadilla / Isabela / San Sebastian metropolitan area in Puerto Rico to $141,880 in Chico, CA. There are 240,220 pharmacists employed in the United States as of May 2012, from 30 in Carson City, NV to 11,290 in the New York / White Plains / Wayne metropolitan area. The job outlook is rosy: pharmacists' jobs are projected to grow 25% from 2010 - 2020, which is eleven percentage points above the national job growth of 14%.
