DOTHAN:   Whether you like or dislike the man, he deserves fairness in court.

The case, City of Dothan verses Amos Newsome is scheduled before Circuit Judge Mike Conaway on August 8, 2016.

You have to look close at the docket front page because it reads " Judge Conaway will hold an early call of his docket for the August 8, 2016, term of City Appeal Jury Trials on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 8:30 AM. Please Appear at this time with your client".

The Attorney representing Amos Newsome is not from Dothan. When you see the docket you do not always look at the cover page. You flip to the page of your client and see the case set for August 8, 2016.

This morning Amos Newsome nor his attorney were present for the docket call. So Judge Conaway ordered the appeal dismissed and the case remanded back to the City of Dothan for execution of the sentence imposed in Dothan Municipal Court.

THE CON PULLED ON JUDGE CONAWAY BY DOTHAN MUNICIPAL ATTORNEY'S, WHO WORK DIRECTLY FOR THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE DOTHAN COMMISSION

This morning when no one with Amos Newsome appeared and Judge Conaway announced the case remanded back to the City of Dothan for execution of the sentence, not once did the Dothan Municipal Attorney's disclose to Judge Conaway that the City of Dothan messed up and the Judge on Amos Newsome's Municipal Case was an illegal Judge.

The Dothan Municipal Attorney's were quiet and said nothing.

This is dirty and deceitful. And apparently a common pattern and practice by the legal staff of the City of Dothan. And since it continues to be allowed it has to be a practice endorsed by Mike West, Kevin Dorsey, Amos Newsome, Albert Kirkland,  John Ferguson, Beth Kenward and David Crutchfield.

I had enough respect for honesty and integrity that I called Amos Newsome and his attorney. What Dothan's Legal Department did was dishonest and disrespectful to Judge Conaway, Amos Newsome, the Mayor, City Manager and entire Dothan Commission.

The commission has been told the legal staff they have is unacceptable. They have been told by people other than me.

But for them to let this happen, and other issues continue to happen, can only mean these leaders support this type of unethical and immoral legal representation of the City of Dothan.

NOTE:  Below is the document Dothan filed in the case against me ( Rickey Stokes ) on June 10, 2016 admitting they had not appointed the Judge correctly in my case. The Judge, Claud Chamblee, that sit illegally as a Municipal Judge in my case also sit illegally as the Judge for Amos Newsome. This document was posted to show Dothan has already admitted to their being a screw up, yet concealed that fact from Judge Conaway today.

That is unethical.
