DOTHAN: Dothan Commissioner of District 5, Taylor Barbaree, has resigned as Dothan Commissioner .
The resignation is effective on November 10.
Mayor Schmitz will begin the appointing process and then a special election will be required.
Barbaree came under fire from The Dothan Eagle on Sunday on questionable expenditures on the City of Dothan credit card.
Today was a Dothan Commission Meeting. After the meeting reports are Barbaree notified the Mayor of his resignation.
