Dothan Fire Responds to a Hazmat Call on West Main

Dothan Fire responded to a report of a chemical smell at 2240 West Main Street. When units arrived they found several workers inside the building. The building was quickly evacuated and the Hazmat team was called. Reading of high CO2 levels were inside the building and it was making emplyees feel sick. Everyone was checked out as they came out of the building and the search began for the cause of the CO2. The building had to be vented and all the CO2 removed before the building could be deemed safe. Engine 3, Truck 3 Battalion 2 and Hazmat 2 have been on scene for over an hour now and about have the incident cleared up.
