Dothan-Houston County E-911 Board Approves Budget

DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY:  This morning at 10:00 AM the Dothan - Houston County 911 Board, which consists of Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz, all members of the Dothan Commission, Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver and Houston County Commissioner Jackie Battles were in attendance. The meeting was held just prior to the meeting of the Dothan Commission. The purpose of the meeting will be to remove from the table the 2012 - 2013 Operating Budget. The item was tabled because the two county representatives were not at the meeting and there were issues with the budget approved. The advisory board passed the budget on a 7 to 2 vote but the district board passed the budget 9 to 0 this morning. They also added the purchase of a 2012 F-150 Crew Cab truck to be purchased for the E-911 Coordinator.
