Dothan Man Arrest for First Degree Possession of MarijuanaMatt Boster

On August 18, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following a traffic stop. While on routine patrol, an alert officer made the stop at the intersection of Cottonwood Road and Foster Street after witnessing a traffic violation. During the course of the stop, it was determined the driver had provided a false name, date of birth and social security number to conceal his true identity as he had an outstanding warrant. Officers were able to positively identify the driver as Robert Treadway and confirmed he had an active warrant for his arrest in Coffee County, Alabama and additionally learned Treadway is currently on probation for Drug Trafficking. Treadway was placed under arrest for providing a false name along with the warrant. An inventory of the vehicle revealed a bag of marijuana behind the drivers’ seat along with another bag of marijuana and paraphernalia in the center console.
· Robert Treadway, white male, 55 years of age, of Broadway Street was arrested and charged with First Degree Possession of Marijuana with a $15,000 bond and pending transfer to Coffee County.
