Dothan Man Chaeged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle

On March 18^th, 2015 the Dothan Police Department responded to the 4400 block of Montgomery Highway after receiving an emergency call of a theft in progress at the Dothan Pavilion shopping plaza. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and the suspect, Gafer Kamal at the “Ross” department store. Officer were advised that the victim walked out of another businesses and found Kamal inside of his vehicle. When the victim confronted Kamal, he ran, but was caught by a concerned citizen and detained until the police arrived.

Kamal was arrested and charged with unlawfully entering a motor vehicle. His arrest now brings this case to a close.

• Gafer Kamal, black male, 23 years of age, of Flynn Road was arrested and charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle. A bond amount has been set at $5,000.00.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
