Dothan Man Charged with Attempted Arson First Degree

On July 24, 2015the Dothan Police Department responded to703 East Stough Street in reference to an attempted arson. Investigators say Marco Scurry attempted to set fire to the residence while it was occupied.
The subsequent investigation was conducted by the Dothan Arson Task Force. The Task Force is comprised of members of the Dothan Fire Marshal’s Office and investigators from the Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division.
After a thorough investigation, the Dothan Arson Task Force has now charged Marco Andrew Scurry with one count Attempted Arson first degree and three counts Attempted Murder.
- Marco Andrew Scurry, black male, 38 years of age, of North Cherry Streetwas arrested and charged with Attempted Arson first degree and three counts Attempted Murder. A bond amount has been set at $1,000,000.00.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
