Dothan Man Charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree

On February 8, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following a recent investigation of criminal possession of a forged instrument. Investigators say on January 18, 2013, black male Willie Chapman altered the amount of a paycheck, then took it to a local business and cashed it. Employees of the business identified Chapman as the suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained. Police say Chapman has now been arrested bringing the case to a close.
- Willie Chapman, black male, 47 years of age, of Lake Street was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
