Dothan Man Charged with first degree Robbery

On April 21, 2014 the Dothan Police Department arrested Terry Johnson after an arrest warrant was issued due to his involvement in a robbery that occurred on April 13th 2014.
Investigators say Johnson robbed a man at gunpoint in the 1200 block of North Cherry Street. During the robbery, Johnson took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and threatened to kill the victim if he contacted the police.
Johnson fled the scene prior to the arrival of the responding officers, but on April 21st 2014 he was taken into custody after officers stopped a vehicle that he was the passenger of.
Johnson’s arrest now brings this case to a close.
- Terry Van Johnson, black male, 23 years of age, of Fir Street was arrested and charged with first degree Robbery. A bond amount has been set at $500,000.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
