Dothan Man Charged with illegally Carrying a Fire Arm

On January 18, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a weapons arrest following the observation of an alert patrolman who noticed a man acting suspiciously in an unrelated business parking lot. Upon further investigation the officer discovered the man, a convicted felon, was illegally in possession of a 9mm High Point pistol. Additionally, police ran a routine check of the weapon which revealed it was stolen out of Florida. The suspect, Brandon Mays was arrested bringing the case to a close.

 

 

·        Brandon Mays, black male, 22 years of age, of Green tree Avenue was arrested and charged with Person Forbidden to Carry a Firearm with a $5,000 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
