Dothan Man Charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injuries

On March 11, 2013 the Dothan Police Department Traffic Division made a felony arrest after concluding its investigation of a motor vehicle accident that occurred March 7, 2013 on the 2200 block of Fortner Street.


 


Officers say on March 7, 2013 at approximately 4 a.m. a subject was struck by a dark colored pick-up truck while standing on the right of way of Fortner Street. The unknown vehicle left the scene as the victim laid on the ground with multiple injuries. Officers have located the vehicle and identified the driver to be Phillip Dowie. Dowie has been arrested and charged with leaving the Scene of an Accident with injuries.


 



  • Phillip Ethan Dowie, white male, 23 years of age, of Mandarin Avenue was arrested and charged with leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injuries with a $2,500 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
