Dothan Man Charged with Second Degree Burglary and Second Degree Domestic Violence

On June 3rd, 2014 the Dothan Police Department responded to the 500 block of East Selma Street on a burglary in progress call. Upon arrival, officer’s were told the suspect, identified as Anthony Jackson, attempted to make entry into the home by breaking out one of the windows. After being confronted by an occupant of the home, Jackson ran away prior to the officer’s arrival.
Investigators say Jackson and the victim were in a relationship that had recently ended. During his attempt at making entry into the home, investigators say Jackson threatened to kill the victim.
Jackson was spotted several blocks from the home as other officers arrived in the area. He was taken into custody immediately after.
- Anthony Jermaine Jackson, black male, 35 years of age, of Robbins Street was arrested and charged with second degree Burglary and second degree Domestic Violence. Jackson is being held without bond.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
