Dothan Man Charged with Third Degree Robbery

On October 21, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a disturbance involving robbery at a residence located in the 100 block of West Powell Street. Upon arrival, police learned Juan Carlos Bernardino Castaneda, forced his way into a residence where he had previously cohabitated in a domestic relationship and proceeded to assault a man who was present at the time. During the assault, the suspect forcefully pulled two gold chains off of the victim’s neck after which he left on foot.
· Juan Carlos Bernardino Castaneda, Hispanic male, 29 years of age, of West Powell Street was arrested and charged with Third Degree Robbery with a $2,500 bond. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
