Dothan Man Charged with Trafficking (Cocaine) Possession of Marijuana

On February 24, 2014 the Dothan Police Department arrested Jeremy Higgins III, following a suspicious circumstances investigation, in the 400 block of Alabama Avenue.
Investigators say officers were on foot patrol in the 400 block of Alabama Avenue, when they smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from one of the apartments. The officers went to an apartment, in which the storm door was closed, but the front door was open. Those officers observed several bags of what they believed was marijuana, then made contact with an occupant of the apartment, Jeremy Higgins III. A search of the location was conducted, which resulted in those officers locating and seizing nearly 60 grams of crack cocaine and over a pound of marijuana.
Higgins III has been charged with multiple drug offenses. His arrest now brings this case to a close.
- Jeremy Webster Higgins III, black male, 21 years of age, of Alabama Avenue was arrested and charged with Trafficking (Cocaine) and first degree Possession of Marijuana. Bonds have been set and total $505,000.00.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
