On February 9, 2014 the Dothan Police Department arrested Donald Pearce after he crashed into multiple Dothan police cars, during a high speed vehicle pursuit in the area of Headland Avenue and West Spring Street.

Investigators say officers attempted to stop a gold passenger car driven by Pearce, on the 900 block of Tacoma Street due to a traffic violation. When the officers activated their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle accelerated and sped off. Pearce rammed two patrol vehicles during that pursuit, causing injuries to one of the officers.

The pursuit was brought to an end when Pearce’s vehicle collided with a pole in the 600 block of Headland Avenue. He was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree Attempted Assault, bringing this case to a close.

  • Donald Pearce, black male, 44 years of age, of Whiddon Street was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree Attempted Assault. Bonds have been set and total $700,000.00. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
