On July 12, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a four count felony arrest for rape following a recent investigation. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, limited details are being released however police say the investigation into this case began following a complaint received on July 10, 2012. Police confirmed the case will now be closed following the arrest.

 

 

·        Demichael Maurice Sharrod Simmons, black male, 20 years of age, of Summit Street was arrested and charged with two counts of First Degree Rape and two counts of Second Degree Rape with bonds totaling $130,000.
