Dothan Man Charged with two Counts of First Degree Theft

On October 31, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a theft at Backyard Treasures located at 2331 Ross Clark Circle regarding a theft in progress. Upon arrival, police learned a man had entered the business and stolen coins from the business. Officers quickly began a search and stopped the man who was going to a local pawn shop to sell the stolen goods when intercepted by police. Investigators working on the case additionally uncovered evidence to show the suspect, Archie Gullette Jr. had committed the same crime the previous day but had gone undetected during the commission of the crime. Police recovered the stolen items and arrested Gullette for both incidents bringing the case to a close.
· Archie Gullette Jr., black male, 34 years of age, of Lafayette Street was arrested and charged with two counts of First Degree Theft with bonds totaling $40,000. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
