Dothan Man Charged with Willful Abuse of a Child

On April 14th, 2015 the Dothan Police Department, assisted by the Department of Human Resources began investigating a child abuse complaint involving a four month old child.
Investigators say Dexter McIntyre was arrested after the investigation revealed his child suffered multiple injuries while in his possession. Investigators also say that the child was examined by a physician who found the child had signs of pervious broken bones which were in the process of healing.
The child has been placed in protective care with a family member at this time.
- Dexter Alquanto McIntyre, black male, 40 years of age, of Murray Road was arrested and charged with Willful Abuse of a Child Under 18 Years of Age. A bond amount has been set at $25,000.00.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
