Dothan PD Weekend Crimes: Fraud, Attempted Murder

Saturday, February 06, 2010 Dothan Police responded to a Recovered Stolen Vehicle call in the parking lot of the Choice Inn in the 300 block of North Foster Street. Dandrea Robinson, 30 years old, took a vehicle and the victim`s purse from Ozark, Alabama and drove to Dothan where he used the victim`s credit card. The victim`s vehicle and purse were returned to her. Robinson was apprehended and transported to the Dothan City Jail where he was charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. Robinson will later be turned over to the Ozark Police Department reference other pending charges.
Saturday, February 06, 2010 Dothan Police responded to an Assault call at the House of Benjamin located at 205 South College Street. Suspect, Joseph Urgent, 56 years old was located a few blocks away by Dothan Patrol Officers. Urgent was transported to the Dothan City Jail where he was charged with Attempted Murder. The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he was treated for multiple stab wounds to his chest, left arm, and left hand. The injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
