I am very proud of the Dothan Police Department and the sacrifice our officers made during this year’s National Peanut Festival.  In my 30 plus years I have never seen such an obstacle at the fair-grounds as we faced due to a lack of usable parking locations.  It presented several challenges and increased dangers for the officers.  They handled it like champions!  To those that worked long hours; to those that lost family time; to those that cancelled your days off; to those that worked the streets to cover for officers working down there, I want you to know that I’ve very proud of you and what we accomplished—and accomplished safely. Thank you.
