Dothan Police Department National Award Winner for 'National Night Out'

 On November 17, 2009, the Dothan Police Department received notification from the National Association of Town Watch advising that the Dothan Police Department National Night Out 2009 was selected as a National Award winner. This award was for outstanding participation in the 26th Annual National Night Out crime, drug and violence prevention program. The City of Dothan was one of two National Night Out events selected for this award in the entire State of Alabama.

This year's event involved 36.7 million people in 14,625 communities from all 50 states, United States territories and military bases worldwide. This National recognition would not have been possible without the support of the citizen's of Dothan, the wiregrass area, local businesses and news media.

We are proud that the City of Dothan and the entire wiregrass region has been selected among the Nation's best National Night Out for 2009.
