Dothan Police Sgt. Retires after Almost 26 Years of Service

DOTHAN: Today Sgt Jon Beeson Retired after almost 26years of service serving the citizens of Dothan. Jon started his career in 1989 with the Dothan Police Department. Jon worked in patrol before moving to CID. Jon worked as an investigator for years before moving to technical support.
Jon worked with video and did surveillance work, that included undercover surveillance, managing all in car cameras and enhancing video. Jon worked as the supervisor for the crime scene unit, and was over the evidence vault and the Police Department’s IT department. Jon handled video forensic for not only DPD but other agencies in Florida, Georgia and southeast Alabama. Jon was also a member of the DPD gospel group Apostle from 1998 till they all started retiring.
Congratulations on your retirement, you will be missed. Also thank you for at the years of service.
