The City of Dothan and Polyengineering will be hosting a site tour of the Tuscaloosa TestWell and Reverse Osmosis (R/O) plant located at the entrance to 412 Clearwater Drive(Little Choctawhatchee Wastewater Treatment Plant off J.B. Chapman Road) on Thursday,March 26, 2015 at 9:00 A.M.
The Tuscaloosa test well and reverse osmosis plant have been operational since January. The water, which is being is pumped from a very abundant source called the Tuscaloosaformation, has higher concentrations of sodium chlorides (or salt) than other water sourcescurrently in use by Dothan.
Currently a pilot study is underway where the water is beingtreated with reverse osmosis technology for sodium chloride removal and other waterquality parameter adjustments. This treatment process is new to Dothan and we are excitedto showcase our findings to date.
The City of Dothan and Polyengineering invite thepublic, elected officials and the media to tour the well site and R/O plant for this event.
