DOTHAN:    Have you been having issues getting your mail if you are serviced by the Dothan Office of the United States Post Office?

There has been many complaints over the service provided by the Dothan Postal Service. And we have been doing some snooping.

It seems that management has been a problem. According to sources the Post Master has been sent to a six week school to learn how to manage. The United States Postal Service bosses are reported to have been bring in post masters from other post office's to manage Dothan.

Today I received mail from the City of Dothan dated "04/07/17". The address for the City of Dothan is 126 North Saint Andrews Street. The mail was from Dothan Utilities.

The mail was received about noon today, 04/14/2017.

The mail was a Delinquent Notice that utilities at the house would be cut off if the bill was not paid by 04/13/2017. The bill was never received, services were disconnected and I went and paid it. Then the mail was delivered to the office.

There has been numerous complaints about the Dothan United States Postal Service. And the above information has been confirmed from sources about problems and issues with the Post Office. Naturally they will not make an official comment because as you know "government never screws up".

So either the problems are the City of Dothan is holding the notices. I don't think that is the issue. Or the United States Postal Service.

Reports are one mail carrier was placing the mail they did not deliver back into the drop boxes. When postal officials began to notice that metered mail was coming back through the system they investigated and found out what was happening.

My guess the postal service.
