Dothan Woman Charged with First Degree Receiving Stolen Property

On February 24, 2015 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following the continued investigation of an incident that occurred in late December of 2014.
Investigators say a 2004 Pontiac Vibe was stolen from Deanco Auto Auction during the early morning hours of December 29th 2014. At the time of the incident, there were no suspects and the vehicle was not located.
On February 24th, 2015 a vehicle matching the description of the Pontiac Vibe was stopped on the 700 block of Walnut Street because it did not have a license plate. The vehicle identification number was checked and returned as being the number of the vehicle stolen from Deanco. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Takila Jackson and was taken into custody.
Jackson has been charged with first degree receiving stolen property. Her arrest now brings this case to a close.
- Takila Shantell Jackson, black female, 28 years of age, of Walnut Street was arrested and charged with first degree Receiving Stolen Property. A bond amount has been set at $5,000.00.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
