Dothan's First Murder of 2012 - Investigation Continues

DOTHAN: Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has identified the victim of a early Sunday morning Dothan murder as Anthony Robinson, age 26, of Cottonwood.
Around 3 AM on Sunday morning Dothan and Houston County communications center rolled emergency units to a shooting at Prime Time Club in Dixie in northern Downtown Dothan. Within seconds, the area wa wrapped with many Dothan Police, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and agents of Alabama Beverage Control Agents.
The first officer called for Dothan Fire to step up the response because CPR was in progress of the shooting victim. The victim ws laying on the street next to the curb to the left of the front door of the business. Dothan Fire was quick on the scene and the patient was transported "trauma" alert to the hospital. He was later pronounced dead by Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd.
Law Enforcement Officers took control of the club and scene area. Evidence was quickly marked. Officers cleared the club of each person present, one by one, searching each person. Then more than 40 people were escorted to the Dothan Police Department where they were detained in courtroom as Criminal Investigators questioned them one by one.
Since that time Crime Scene Technicians and officers have searched several areas looking for additional evidence. Officers have been working around the clock in an effort to solve the murder case.
At this time there have been no arrests. The investigation is on going.
