Beware Buyers
On 10/27/09 Investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office along with assistance from the Bonifay Police Department arrested 23 YOA, W/F, Amanda Lang, of Bonifay for purchase of controlled substance (marijuana). The arrest stems from an undercover operation where Ms. Lang traveled to Bonifay and purchased marijuana from an undercover officer.
Deputy Finds Two Pounds of Weed
On 10/28/09 while on patrol Deputy Sherrouse stopped a vehicle being driven by Jarrell Jackson for traffic infractions. While talking with Mr. Jackson, Deputy Sherrouse detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately two pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. Mr. Jackson was placed under arrest and charged with Felony possession of marijuana.
Two Arrested for Meth
On 11/1/09 Sgt. Raley stopped a vehicle being driven by W/F, Triska t. Scott, 43 YOA, for traffic offenses. During a search of the vehicle methamphetamine was located. Scott and passenger W/M Gene Ray Medley, 39 YOA, both denied ownership of the illegal drugs. Both were arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Sheriff Brown states that “The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking anyone that sales, buys, uses, or possess any type of illegal drugs in Holmes County”. If anyone has any information regarding the illegal drug activity you are urged to call crime stoppers at 1-866-689-8477.
