Yesterday, at about 3:30pm, a smiling little Ethan, whom I’ve never had the pleasure to meet (until now of course) came running up to me! He wanted to see all his new toys! "Where are they?" He asked. I told him, "Go find them....!" Excitement & anxiousness takes over him as he runs thru the town hall...not knowing which way to go. He reaches the court room & is taken away by all the gifts and cards that await him!! Smiling the entire time, he tears open package after package, crying out, "Look at this!" & "A Batmobile!" The courtroom was filled with laughter, smiles, & toys scattered EVERY WHERE! It was all that I had hoped for! I was blessed to have spent almost 5 hours with Ethan...& I’ve learned so much about him. I took him to the playground where he wanted to go down the big big slide. Ethan attempted 4 or 5 times to climb the ladder all by himself...but just couldn’t bring himself to go all the way up. I wanted to see him go down that slide so so bad....I wanted to see him happy. Then, to my surprise, while the adults were talking...guess what?! Ethan was at the top of that slide ready to take the Joy ride all the way down by himself! He was one brave little boy! He proved to us that he didn’t need any help....Lol. And from that moment on, it was up the ladder, down the slide...over & over & over again! This little boy has captured my heart. He brought out the kid in me again! We played so hard yesterday. I took him for a ride around the park in the police car. He absolutely loved it. How could I resist after hearing, "aww man, look at the police car!" Cards for Ethan received more than 11,000 cards! & so many toys were sent as well! This little boys dreams have came true. He has hundreds of hot wheels now, plenty of coloring books, & he can be whatever super hero he wants with the collection of super hero masks he has now! :) God bless everyone that sent a card for Ethan!
