EMBARRASSED - I Am Banned From All Waffle House Restaurants - Like Being Banned From The City Dump

DOTHAN:    I am embarrassed to write this article. But it is what it is.

I, Rickey Stokes, am “officially” banned from Waffle House Restaurants. That is bad when I am banned from the restaurant.

The offense I committed, is I left the money for my bill along with the tip on the table. That is against the rules of Waffle House.

Other than a sign over the cash register, there are no signs posted in the restaurant or on the menu which gives directions to customers of where they are to pay.

This morning I went to Waffle House on East Main across from SAMC. A place where I have been eating breakfast for the past year. I have always left the money and tip on the table. There have not been issues until BO arrived in the past 2 months.

Until the interaction yesterday, BO has never had any conversation with me. And I conversation was peaceful until I asked him for the instructions on camera.

Today, from the time I got out of my truck, recording equipment was going. No camera held up, just recording devices on me. The waitress informed me that Angel, the area manager wanted to talk to me and was on the way. Very nicely, I said OK, and ordered my breakfast,, and ate. The meal was even paid for at the cash register!

After I ate I was talking with a friend who was a customer. A police officer came inside and asked me to step outside. The officer, along with Waffle House Area  Manager Angel Garcia, were outside. Garcia said that I am banned from ALL Waffle Houses. The offense is, I left the money and tip on the table.

If I go back to Waffle House, I will be arrested from Criminal Trespassing.

And I swear on my life…I have always been nice and courteous, never rude, always paid the ticket and left a tip.

I have been banned for leaving the money and tip at the table.

I told two high ranking officials today. Both said, oh no, I have always left my money and tip at the table.

Today I ate lunch at Logan’s. No cashier. Pay at the table. At Longhorn’s, no cashier, pay at the table. Olive Garden, no cashier…pay at the table. TGI Friday’s no cashier, pay the table, Beef O’Brady’s…no cashier…pay at the table…

I am totally embarrassed. I have now the bottom gutter. It is like I have now been banned from the City Dump…banned from Waffle House.

I have called Corporate in Georgia. They refuse to allow me to talk with the President of the company, Walter Ehmer or the CEO Mr. Roger’s.

They will only allow me talk with the Director of Security, a Mr. Wright. Yesterday he told me I was not banned. He took my number  but could not call me.

I guess I will take a trip sometime in the future to Norcross to see the President and/or CEO of Waffle House.

To the high ranking officials in Dothan and Houston County…WARNING to those which told me they leave their money and tip on the table…you could end up joining me in the Waffle House Ban Club. It is like being banned from the City Dump…embarrassing.

I realize those who do not know me are saying, STOKES is a constant trouble maker. NO, actually I am a nice person, well sometimes.

I am actually embarrassed about this. But I swear, my only offense is, leaving the money and tip on the table with the ticket.
