Enterprise Man Charged with Robbery 1st

On September 28, 2014, at 8:00 PM, the Enterprise Police Department responded to Wal-Mart on a call for shoplifting in progress.  Wal-Mart loss prevention personnel reported that a black male suspect concealed items under his clothing and left the store without remitting payment.  Wal-Mart personnel also reported that while attempting to stop the suspect, he brandished a knife and threatened stab the loss prevention personnel.  EPD Patrol Officers were able to locate and apprehend the suspect within a few minutes of the crime.  The Enterprise Police Department arrested and charged William Bradley Whitehurst, age 57, of Enterprise, AL and charged him with Robbery 1st. Whitehurst was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
