Enterprise Police Investigating a Shooting on Fleming Street

The Enterprise Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on April 2, 2016, at 5:00 AM, in the 500 Block of Fleming Street Enterprise, AL.  The shooting transpired after a verbal altercation took place between the suspect and the victim. As the victim was leaving the scene of the altercation, the suspect fired a single shot with a shotgun at the victim.  The victim was struck in the arm and the head with birdshot.  The victim managed to get to a safe area and called police.  The victim was transported to Medical Center Enterprise where he was treated and released. 


On April 2, 2016, at 11:30 AM, Enterprise Police Department Criminal Investigation Division located the suspect and the firearm used in the shooting. EPD Detectives determined that the firearm used in the shooting was reported stolen in 2014.  EPD Detectives arrested and charged a juvenile with Assault 2nd.  The juvenile was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.  Additional charges may be pending.
