A 2005 Honda Pilot was westbound on Innerarity Point Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle crossed over onto the eastbound shoulder of Innerarity Point Road where it struck a sign. The Pilot then crossed back into the westbound lane of Innerarity Point Road before entering the westbound shoulder. The Pilot then struck a chain-link fence before colliding head-on into a large tree in the 14000 block of Innerarity Point Road. The driver of the vehicle was trasnported to Sacred Heart Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 2:44 a.m. from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as David D. Watkins, 41, of Pensacola, Florida.
