Etowah County inmate dies while in custody

An inmate at the Etowah County Detention Center died Saturday morning while in custody. Gerald Joe Hill, 55, of Gadsden, appears to have died of natural causes, Sheriff Todd Entrekin said.
The Etowah County Sheriff's Office and Oxford Police Department are conducting an investigation.
