On April 16, 2016, Scott Mathews, black male, 39 years of age, of Eufaula, AL, was arrested and charged with Rape First Degree. A bond amount has been set at $500,000.00. 
Mathews has also been charged with Violation of the Sex Offender Notification Act. A bond amount has been set at $15,000.00.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
