Faine Elementary School Has Officers Surronded In SAFETY and SECURITY Precautions ONLY

DOTHAN: Multiple Dothan Police units to include Dothan Patrol Lt. Scott Heath and Patrol Captain Keith Gray responded to Fain Elementary School and surronded the school in PROTECTIVE and SAFETY measures only.

Initial reports are parents were in a domestic arguement. One parent was reported to have made a threat of shooting. As a result of the threat and taking all threats serious, Dothan Police Chief Greg Benton dispatched multiple police units and supervisors to the school. The school was surronded in safety and security measures.

AT NO TIME has the school or children been in danger. Dothan Criminal Investigators are investigating and making sure all of the information provided on the domestic dispute is accurate. They are working to locate all parties and make sure that all is under control.

Until that time Chief Benton has directed the officers to remain at the school.

AGAIN...AT NO TIME WAS THERE A SECURITY BREACH OR ACTUAL PHYSICAL PERSON ON THE SCHOOL GROUNDS MAKING THREATS. However, Chief Benton makes sure they act on the information rather than react afterwards.
