MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The family of a Charles Henderson High School football player who died after a hit during a game is suing the company that makes the helmet he was wearing.
In September 2014, attorneys say Demario Harris Jr., was hit in the back of the head while wearing a Schutt DNA Pro Helmet.
"What we're saying is the padding, the padding that is there to protect players from hits, from impacts, was not sufficient, did not absorb the energy that it should," said Attorney Rick Morrison.
