Fatal Escambia County Crash

Escambia County, Florida: This afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash in Escambia on U.S. Highway 29. The Florida Highway Patrol's Crash Report shows that a 2005 Kia was traveling South on the southbound turn lane of U.S. Highway 29. The Kia began to make a left turn onto Van Pelt Lane. The Kia collided with the Honda motorcycle in the process of making the left turn. The Kia then continued on to hit a utility pole.

The driver of the motorcycle, Tyler Austin Weir, 19, was transported to Sacreed Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida where he later died at 6:46 P.M.
