Fatal Gulf County Crash

Gulf County, Florida: A 1998 Chevrolet Corvette was traveling north on County Road 386 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle entered into a curve in the roadway, but failed to negotiate the curve. The vehicle left the roadway on the side of the road. When the vehicle rentered the roadway, the driver overcorrected causing the vehicle to go to the other side of the road. The vehicle then started rolling and caused the passenger to be partially ejected. The passenger of the vehicle, John Paul Tinsley, 23, of Callaway, Florida, was prnounced deceased from injuries sustained in the crash. The other passenger, Vanessa Ann Raynor, 22, of Mexico Beach, Florida was seriously injured in the crash. The driver of the vehicle escaped the crash with only minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. This crash occurred on January, 24, 2013.
