Fatal Motorcycle Wreck In Escambia County

A Victory Motorcycle was North bound on SR 8A (I-110) in the South bound lanes. The motorcycle entered SR 8A at 9^th Avenue. A 2001 Dodge Stratus was South bound on SR 8A in the South bound left lane. The Stratus was following a truck. The truck veered to the left when the driver of the truck saw the motorcycle. The driver of the Stratus did not have time to avoid colliding with the motorcycle. The front of the motorcycle struck the right front of the Stratus in the left South bound lane of SR 8A. The motorcycle came to a final rest on the South bound shoulder facing North. The Stratus rotated clockwise and came to final rest, West, between the right and South bound lanes. The driver of the motorcycle, Kevin Minori, 41, of Greenville, South Carolina, was transported to Baptist Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 9:17 P.M. CST by Dr. Brantley. Next of Kin has been notified in South Carolina. The driver of the stratus and the passenger were also transported to Baptist Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol's Office.
