DOTHAN: Multiple Dothan Fire Engines responded to 3102 Redmond Road to a fire alarm. The location is a high occupancy building.
Prior to the first unit arriving on the scene Dothan Commnunications reported that alarm company reported it a false alarm. Dothan Fire Engine 3 under the command of Captain Scott Bodiford was at the scene and checked out to make sure all was okay. Captain Bodiford advised this was an accidental pull of a fire alarm station.
All fire engines returned to service.
When fire alarms come in multiple fire engines roll to the scene. You dispatch off what is reported to the Communications Center and do not wait for someone to get on the scene and say "hey this is a real fire and people are inside". You roll the equipment to handle the worst case situation until fire units are on the scene and say " hey there is nothing to it and cancel".
