Five Star Credit Union Renovating it's Dothan Headquarters

(Dothan, AL) – The downtown North Foster Street main office of Five Star Credit Union remains open and operating while it is undergoing major building and parking lot renovations.
According to Five Star’s President and CEO Robert A. Steensma, the credit union is replacing the original single lane drive-through window with a modern multi-lane drive-through that will allow a faster and more efficient traffic flow. The outside of the building is being updated to match the drive-through and an upgraded parking lot and wider entrance on North Foster Street are being added. The inside of the building is also being extensively updated with a new teller area and remodeled service and staff areas.
“While the construction is progressing, the parking lot access has been closed off from Newton Street but the parking area and building entrance are still accessible from North Foster Street” said Steensma. “A temporary building has been installed in the parking lot that contains a drive through window and an ATM until the new construction is completed. We believe this will be one more major cosmetic improvement to the appearance of downtown Dothan and better serve all who use Five Star’s many services.”
The first phase of the construction, which includes the new drive-through and teller area, is expected to be completed by January 2013 according to Steensma. The remaining construction of the exterior, parking lot and other service areas is expected to continue until approximately July 2013.
